Two photos and an award :)

A photo Ali took of me with a delightful gentleman advertizing the Internet as I clutch my Ireland mug that Ali gave me as a present.

The photo is rather dark but just to prove that we did meet - Ali and I in Garfunkel's resturant.

Then many thanks to Valerie from Simply 4 God for presenting me with this award. Valerie is truly an inspirational lady and I enjoy reading her posts which always come straight from the heart. Thanks Valerie.

Thank you Valerie

It's encouraging, isn't it? when folk acknowledge that they enjoy reading your blog- SO I have two 'thank you':-

Firstly to Valerie of Simply 4 God who has very kindly given me this award. Valerie and I have been blogging friends for nearly a year now and I thank her for her friendship and encouragement.

Secondly I would like to pass this award on to those who very kindly follow me and to those who very kindly often comment on my posts. Thank you.

I am amazed at the different ways we design, present, post our blogs because they represent us - our personality in a 'virtual world' to many who have not met us in the flesh. So well done everyone and God bless you all.

1st Award for 2009 :)

I've only been blogging consistently for approximately six months, although it could be longer as time so quickly flies past, firstly on blogger then on another site and back again to blogger (where I will stay!!) but during that time I have made some exceptional friends who I have been able to chat to, via our blogs, daily.

This evening I popped in to see Sandi at Rose Chintz Inspirations and discovered that 1. it is her birthday today (Happy Birthday) and 2. she has very kindly honoured me with an award. To accept this award, I must mention who I received the award from and link back to her/him. Then I am to write the following in my post:

"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are extremely charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award."

'Thank you' Sandi for thinking of me and 'Thank you' for kind and encouraging comments which you leave on my site.

I nominate the following bloggers for this award:-

5. Ali
7. Riet

My 1st Award

Thank you so much to Valerie for presenting me with my 1st Blog Award.
I've only known Valerie for a few months and, even though we've never met in the flesh, Valerie has certainly been a true friend.

So thank you Valerie.

It only truely means something when you give it away to someone else so I am giving the award to:

Ali
