I do love receiving cards of anykind :) but they are really special when you realize the time and effort that someone has put into making that particular card.
A dear friend has been making me cards for my birthday, wedding anniversary and Christmas for the last the last eight years and as she gets older I can see that the intricate work that once she was able to do - eyesight and steadiness of the hands now forbids. However, I am grateful for the cards because I apprceciate that they take so much longer now to make and I deeply value the time and effort that she puts in to making a unique card for me.
Thank you my friend.
