Photo of the day - 2

After Nigel & I had finished leading our various Church services this morning, we decided that as it was a lovely sunny afternoon we would go for a walk then out for a meal. We drove into Barking and went for a walk along the River Roding, which eventually makes its way out to the River Thames via the Barking Barrier.

We both had our cameras and clicked away as we walked and enjoyed the sunshine after the heavy rain last night. I will be sharing some of my photos on Judith's Neck Of The Woods but for now this is my favourite photo of today.

Hi Judith,
That sounds a lovely thing to do - it started off lovely and sunny here this morning, and I got 3 hours done in the garden! I was so pleased! Had a cup of tea and toast out there, helped by Bacon, (the cat, not the type you eat!) and it was quite mild. Then the clouds came over, and it started to rain about 12 ish, so I called it a day. What dreadful winds last night! Ooh, it was scary - were going to have a take-away for a treat, but it honestly felt too dangerous to venture out. We had spagetti, pesto and olives instead - a good old store cupboard supper!

Hi Elizabeth - yes we had a really heavy down pour and extremely windy and this morning, although, it had stopped raining it was still quite miserable but about 1ish the sun came - so we decided to make the most of it before the weather changed again and NOW I'm freezing -got the heating on and wearing my nice warm pink bed jacket on top of my jumper!!! nevermind - glad you managed to get some gardening done. Judith

I would so liked to have had a lovely sunny walk as you did this morning. We had snow and it was 3 degrees. I am looking forward to spring.

Very nice picture. I would love to be out strolling along a river right now but only if it was warm and sunny instead of snowy and cold :>)
