Pink Saturday

For other Pink Saturday contributions hosted by Beverly - please click the logo

It is traditional in our family that the ladies all receive Amaryllis bulbs for Christmas and then we have a competion as to whose is growing the best, has the most trumpets and what colour the flowers are.
The Amaryllis is otherwise known as the Belladonna Lily or the Naked Lady! and it is a native plant of South Africa.
To my delight, this year, my Amaryllis is flowering PINK flowers.

Oh, Judith. Your amaryllis blooms are gorgeous. I never got mine this year, and I really missed it. Thank you for sharing yours.

Beautiful amaryllis, Judith! I usually have some nice hyacinth bulbs, but haven't this year - well I have outside, in pots, but not inside. The little snowdrop bulbs are peeping out all over the place! It will be lovely once they come out, with their nodding little heads. How's that pussykitten? I better go over and see what she's been up to!

Love your amaryllis, Judith. I started a pink hyacinth on Christmas Day but it has a long way to go. Hopefully it will fill the house with its heady aroma in March.

I have just read all your blogs, including your sweet kitty's. Thanks for such a pleasant visit.

All the best, Lana

Sorry I'm so late in posting my comments...work has taken me on a few travels as of late...but now that I am able, I certainly wanted to "visit".

Our cottage, The Painted Nest is not abundant in PINK (gasp, I know, LOL) nonetheless the fun continues, as I participated in this past Sat. Pink Posting... :)

Happy to be here this evening and see this solitary vision of beauty!
